Lying
Lying refers to the act of intentionally misleading or deceiving others through words or actions. It is considered a harmful behavior that can damage relationships, destroy trust, and harm one’s reputation. Lying can take many forms, including dishonest or false statements, deception by omission, and misrepresentation. In some cases, lying can be a serious violation of social norms and ethical standards, leading to negative consequences for the liar and those affected by the lie.
Proverbs 6:16-19
16 There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, 19 a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
Proverbs 12:19
19 Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.

22 The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.
