Anxiety
Anxiety can profoundly affect our well-being by creating a constant state of worry and fear that undermines our daily lives. It can disrupt our ability to focus, impair decision-making, and erode our self-confidence. Chronic anxiety often leads to physical symptoms like insomnia, digestive issues, and a weakened immune system, contributing to a cycle of discomfort and stress. This relentless anxiety not only strains our mental health but can also strain our relationships and diminish our quality of life by preventing us from fully engaging in the present moment.
2 Timothy 1:7 from the New Living Translation offers a perspective on overcoming anxiety: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” This verse encourages us to confront anxiety with the understanding that it does not align with the spirit God intends for us. By embracing power, love, and self-discipline, we can work towards overcoming our fears and regaining control over our lives. This spiritual perspective can help us shift our focus from our anxieties to a more empowered and grounded state, promoting both mental and emotional resilience.

Psalm 55:22 – “Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”
Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Hebrews 13:6 – “So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”
Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
These verses remind us to turn to God in times of anxiety and trust in His plan for our lives. Through prayer and faith, we can find peace and comfort even in the midst of difficult circumstances.

Matthew 6:25-32
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more
than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? 28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you-you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
